A Shopify store takes 4 to 8 weeks.

Design, development and the launch shoot run to one schedule on Shopify or Shopify Plus, set in the proposal before work begins. The same weeks hold for a new label and for a brand moving its store from another platform.

The order of work

The storefront is designed first, from the product outward: category logic, collection templates, product pages and checkout. The same team then builds it, and the shoot is planned against the finished templates, each image shot to the crop of its page. The finish and the go-live come last.

Four weeks or eight

Four things set it: the number of templates, the integrations the store runs on, such as subscriptions, the markets and languages it sells in, and the SKUs to shoot.

A brand that also needs its identity begins with that, before these weeks.

Moving from another platform

Stores move across from Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and WooCommerce with their products, collections and content.

Every old URL is mapped one to one to a 301 redirect; the redirect map is what holds search rankings through the move, and it is tested before launch. A move takes the same 4 to 8 weeks.
